Media is changing. The digital age will require video reporters with flexibility, fundamental technical skills and the courage to change with the times. Digital videography will help you build the foundational skills needed to compete in this changing media landscape. The course will focus on telling compelling stories through video, learning the technical aspects of videography, creating well-produced footage and post-production editing. Students will also learn more about the uses and potential of online video in news outlets, marketing, media relations and development. We will also look at one-person field reporting, a key model for video production.

Digital videography will only increase in importance as a defining feature of media: obtain the skills needed to become a video producer.

This class is intended for individuals with interest in video production, broadcast or online media.
